Burnham Abbey

The Society of the Precious Blood

an Anglican Contemplative Community

The Sisters are happy to give consideration to people wishing to visit the Community, as guests, for retreats or for a quiet time. There is a Guest Wing with three en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen and a small sitting room.

Update - In order that we may continue to have resident guests in the Guest Wing, we need to simplify the catering arrangements. From 1 March 2017 we will go on providing a midday meal with the Sisters in the Refectory (except on Fridays). For all other meals, guests will be self catering - there is a supermarket close by. Tea, coffee and milk will be available in the guest kitchen, which is equipped with a microwave, freezer, fridge and toaster.

Also available is the "Emmaus" meeting room with its library and in-built kitchenette. This room is ideal for day groups and for small prayer/bible study workshops.

Please make initial contact to enquire about the possibility of making a visit or booking the facilities.
